Spring Playlist

For me, Spring is the time when the year really begins. The days start to get a little longer and I emerge from hibernation, ready to start on new projects and with renewed energy to complete old ones. I love making a playlist for each season, songs I gather across a couple of months that form a soundtrack for the moment. When I play them in the months to come, they remind me of a particular time of creating.

A particular mention in this one goes to the last song, Finding Paradise by Petite Noir. I was dozing with the radio on one day and woke to this tune. As I lay with my eyes closed, it felt like the music was washing over me. It put me in an absolute reverie. The song is from Petite Noir’s album Mother Father, of which he says, "It’s about going through the darkness. But it’s also about rebirth - because the dark times are needed for us to grow.” A perfect song as we emerge from the depths of Winter into the dawn of Spring.
