Wellbeing: Qigong with Katie Brindle

One really positive thing about social media is the lovely people that you discover who really enhance your life. For me, one of the best recent finds has been Katie Brindle. She was mentioned by an artist I follow who had been joining Katie’s live feed each morning and said it left her feeling energised. So I logged on one morning at 8am to take a look.

Katie is a Chinese medicine practitioner and her lockdown Instagram lives have consisted of free Qigong classes with a generous helping of wellbeing chat. Katie has such a lovely cheerful energy. She obviously absolutely loves what she does and her enthusiasm is infectious. Following the Qigong exercises each morning has started to become part of my routine and I’m learning so much about Chinese medicine and the concept of qi (energy) at the same time. Katie uses healing sounds, tapping and laughter qigong as well as breathing exercises, all working towards the idea that the body needs to purge stagnant energy and nourish energy flow. It’s really fascinating. If you are on your own wellbeing journey and are looking for a really supportive community and positive way forwards, I’d really recommended taking a look.
