Christmas with Donna May

I was so excited to be asked by the wonderful Donna May London to design their Christmas card for Christmas 2023. Donna May London sell practical, pretty, beauty products such as fabulous, lay flat makeup bags and brilliant travel accessories that make absolutely perfect Christmas gifts. I’ve got several of their treats in my shopping basket ready for friends and family!

The brief was for a card that could be popped in with Christmas orders evoking 50s vintage chic with a modern twist. I had a great starting point as they have such a strong, beautiful brand with fonts and colours that really lend themselves to a cute Christmassy design. We looked at lots of reference images together and I started by pencil sketching an idea of the layout to ensure Donna and Sarah were happy with the composition. The character of the girl in her chic coat and pink beret is based on Donna herself and I used their own eye catching lip logo to send a Christmas kiss to all their lovely customers.

I was also really chuffed to see the card in action at the recent Spirit of Christmas Fair at London Olympia. You can see Donna’s Instagram story below!
