New! The Merry Players

I’m excited to say that my debut novel The Merry Players was published this week and is now available on Amazon.

Nineteen years ago, I walked into Daunts Bookshop and gazed at the children’s bookshelves thinking, “I’m going to write a novel one day...” Life went on and several years later a character fell into my head. A boy hiding in the wings of a theatre, captivated by the show night after night. I realised the boy lived at the theatre. I followed the idea, stuck post it notes all over my wall, wrote down his backstory, scribbled chapters upon chapters, finally plucked up the courage to consult a professional editor (the best move I made!), rewrote and rewrote some more.

And now almost two decades after that day in Daunts, here it is. My first novel, The Merry Players.

The Merry Players is the story of a theatre that’s under threat and a ten year old boy Jackson Merry who will do anything he can to save it. It’s full of magic, courage, determination & lots of surprises… There’s even a little time travel! I hope that you and the little ones in your life will love reading it as much as I’ve loved writing it.
